We work with some of the most experienced surveyors in the State of WV!
We contract with the landowner to act as an agent for the landowner's best interest. We are not a logging contractor or timber buying company, so we have no conflict of interest when it comes to marketing and selling your timber. We are committed to achieving the short and long-term goals for our clients, while gaining them the maximum value potential for the timber sale.
* Timber is marked or designated by flexible diameter limits, according to scientifically based techniques to help improve the timber stand and to achieve the landowner's goals.
* Accept bids (usually sealed bids) and award the highest bidder.
* Prepare a timber sale prospectus (invitation to bid), and market the timber products for sale to local timber buyers to ensure the maximum value for the sale.
* Preparation of timber sale contract between the landowner and the timber buyer that best represents the landowners interest, land and timber reserves.
* Plan the layout of the timber harvesting operation to lessen the impact on the land and the residual timber.
* Minimize the amount of skid roads and landing sites to locate in areas best suited.
*Random inspections of the timber harvesting operation are performed to ensure compliance with the timber sale contract and the State of WV BMP'S (Best Management Practices) as regulations for loggers.
